This is exactly how I feel about the iPad:

The reason this topic remains evergreen is that I want to use my iPad more. There’s something ineffable about it. It’s a thrill when I use my iPad to do something that an iPad is actually best at. I honestly think I’d be more productive if I owned no iPad at all, yet I keep trying to find ways to use it more.

What if I just used .org?

Wouldn’t it be neat if I could just pick a theme, pay for the premium features, and go?

Wouldn’t I find that less troublesome than spinning up a Digital Ocean instance and configuring everything?

Wouldn’t I prefer all the benefits of hosted WordPress like comments and stats and hosting and so on?

Maybe. If I can find a theme I don’t hate. WordPress theme designers need to calm the fuck down, IMO.

Almost forgot I even had this blog

Once in a while I get a hankerin’ to use WordPress for blogging. What usually happens is that I install it from scratch (again) on one VPS instance or another and spend the rest of the month looking for a decent theme.

Maybe posting here will quell that urge enough to save me the trouble.
